It starts when your father disappears after leaving the Vault, something you are strictly forbidden to do. So you have to head to the surface to find him, where the Capital Wasteland greets you with Super Mutants, Raiders, and the remnants of human civilization. Just ruined buildings everywhere.
Character revolves around S.P.E.C.I.A.L., seven core attributes that shape your character from the start. Each level-up lets you raise skills and choose a perk. You earn XP through combat, quests, and discovery.
If you’ve played modern post-apocalyptic RPGs like AI Limit, Fallout 3 is still worth trying even though it’s an older game. I doubt you’ll be disappointed.

Troubleshooting Game Errors, Crashes, and Freezes:
- Game crashes on startup? Add the game folder to the Windows Defender exclusions.
- Crash while loading? Run Fallout3.exe as Administrator and set compatibility mode to Windows 7.
- Stuttering or freezing? Cap the game at 60 FPS and lower Anti-Aliasing in the graphics settings.
- Save file corrupted? Back up the Documents\My Games\Fallout3 folder regularly.
