The story focuses on Oda Nobunaga, while the art style leans more cel-shaded and the combat feels more fluid. At first, I thought it would be bad. But this reboot is decent. Not amazing, but still playable.
That said, I really like the new combat system. Hyper Attacks scatter enemies with a single skill, and the new Ultimate Skills mechanic is just ridiculous. Unfortunately, the game did not do well commercially, selling only around 200,000 to 300,000 copies. Very few, honestly.
Still, for me, this is one of the better musou games. Solid mechanically, and it can hold its own against Dynasty Warriors Origins. It really is a case of “don’t judge a book by its cover.”
If you prefer hack-and-slash action, Ninja Gaiden 4 has insane combat too. Different genre, but just as satisfying. Go ahead and download it below. The size is 14 GB. 👍
