Quill, the protagonist, sits between unbearably cute and badass. I genuinely got attached playing this game. The story is good, the world-building also great, but the platforming? That stuff is extremely hard on my keyboard, especially the ledge grab, how comes it is so unforgiving.
The mostly static camera also makes navigation a bit tricky. I fell several times just because I could not see the right angle. The camera placement is really weird.
Visually, this game is beautiful. Every environment feels handcrafted with care, and the developer’s passion shows in every chapter. Overall, I enjoyed it from beginning to end and am eager to play. If you like atmospheric adventure games like this, also try Little Nightmares II Deluxe Edition.
