Released April 9, 2025, it’s a prequel to the legendary series that blew up in the 2000s. Steam rating sits at Mostly Positive from hundreds of reviews, Metacritic gave it a 71. Not exactly breaking the internet, but for a game reviving a classic? Respect.
Unlike the old prequels where you played as one character, here you control six: Green Beret, Sapper, Sniper, Driver, Marine, and Spy. If you’ve tried Sudden Strike 5, it’s kind of like that.
Unfortunately, NPC pathfinding can be weird, they get stuck. Plenty of complaints, still not fixed.
