The story is based on the Paramount Pictures movie World War Z. Humanity is on the brink of extinction, and the zombie outbreak keeps spreading from New York, Moscow, and Japan all the way to Jerusalem. A small group of scavengers band together to beat the horde and survive longer than they ever imagined.
Gameplay-wise, it feels similar to Left 4 Dead 2. The further you progress in the story, the tougher and harder to beat the hordes get. There are 8 classes you can level up: Gunslinger, Hellraiser, Slasher, Medic, Fixer, Exterminator, Dronemaster, and the new Vanguard in Aftermath.
But this game is really linear, you can only follow a straight line. If you want a more open-world zombie vibe, you’d better play Dying Light 2 Stay Human.
