Released by Rockstar Games (PC port by Double Eleven), I initially thought RDR1 would flop. I mean, an old game suddenly getting ported to PC. Turns out the port is pretty solid, 4K 60fps, texture upgrades, and all DLC included. Metacritic gave this PC port 81/100.
I love the Wild West atmosphere. John Marston’s story, the iconic soundtrack, and the wide exploration. Sadly, multiplayer from the original is gone. As a single-player experience though, it is incredible. The first 10-20 hours feel satisfying. Like playing 60 hours.
If you like Rockstar’s cowboy-style Western open-world games, the prequel Red Dead Redemption 2 is also out now, way better and just as epic.
For those who prefer a modern crime open-world, my advice is to try Grand Theft Auto IV, it has similarly modest requirements and is action-packed. Go ahead, download below. 8.5 GB size. 👍

- Extract the file using WinRAR or 7-Zip.
- Open the Red Dead Redemption folder.

Troubleshooting Game Error, Crash and Stuck :
- Game crashes on startup? Make sure the game folder is whitelisted in Windows Defender.
- Cutscene stuttering/lag? Try switching DirectX versions. Cap the framerate with RTSS to around 120.

- XAudio 2 error? Reinstall DirectX Runtime and make sure the Windows Audio Service is running.
