Released June 9, 2026 by Japanese developer lemorion_1224, this game got a Mostly Positive rating from tons of Steam reviews. Quite solid for a newly released indie multiplayer game.
The mechanic is simple but hilarious. You become a Hider team that has to paint a plain white character to match the background color. The Seeker team has to find the disguised players. Like prop hunt, but the goofy version. A failed camouflage? Guaranteed to make you laugh with friends.
But this game is still new and some players complain about servers that sometimes lag and matchmaking that isn’t mature yet. But for those who like casual multiplayer games like PEAK (Multiplayer Online) or RV There Yet (Multiplayer Online)? Meccha Chameleon is a must-try.
I personally love the fresh concept. Not just hiding in dark places, but mixing colors to match the background.

Steps to Install Meccha Chameleon on Your PC :
- Download MCCH280.rar (2.6 GB) from the link below.
- Extract the file using WinRAR or 7-Zip latest version.
- Open the extracted folder, find the Start The Game.bat file and run it.
- Enjoy playing online with friends! 😇

This archive contains all Maps that can be accessed for free. Total: More than 250 Workshop maps.
- Extract all map folders to: MECCHA CHAMELEON\Chameleon\Binaries\Win64\workshop (if the workshop folder doesn’t exist, create a new one).
- Open the OnlineFix.ini file at: MECCHA CHAMELEON\Chameleon\Binaries\Win64\OnlineFix.ini.
- Open the ugc.txt file inside the workshop archive.
- Copy all lines from ugc.txt.
- Paste at the very bottom of the OnlineFix.ini file.
- Save the file and run the game.
Note:
- Some test maps are not included in this archive.
- The ugc.txt file is only needed for installations using OnlineFix.ini. This file makes the game display Workshop map names instead of Workshop IDs.

Troubleshooting Meccha Chameleon Crash, Error & Stuck :
- Game keeps crashing? Update GPU driver and install DirectX runtime.
- Can’t connect online? Make sure firewall isn’t blocking the game, and the .bat file is run as admin.
- Stuck on loading screen? Check your antivirus, make sure no game files are deleted or quarantined.
- FPS Drop / Stuttering? Lower shadow quality and render resolution.
- OnlineFix error? Re-extract the OnlineFix file and make sure the game folder is excluded from defender.
