Native Instruments Kontakt v8.12.0 (MacOS)
Every professional studio probably has Kontakt Mac Full (Native Instruments) on its workflow. This sampler engine has been an industry backbone for years, from Hollywood film production to pop albums. You can load thousands of instrument libraries, from realistic acoustic pianos to full orchestras, all played directly in a DAW.
The user interface is also really clean. And after trying it, I found it stable on the latest macOS Tahoe.
The update I am sharing, v8.12.0, reportedly brings fairly significant stability improvements. Especially for performance on Apple Silicon devices. You can really feel it on a MacBook M4 Pro. Library loading is faster now, and it does not freeze for no clear reason when loading large libraries.
But honestly, this audio editing plugin is very expensive. It does make sense because its stock libraries are huge. If you are just starting music production, my advice is to start with the basic tools built into your DAW.
For the one I recommend most, use Ableton Live Suite (MacOS). Once you become a PRO, you can add VST plugins or audio samples such as Kontakt as your daily driver.
Go ahead and download Kontakt below. The file is 1.7 GB; just follow the instructions.👍

VERY IMPORTANT: You should learn how to install apps from outside the App Store. Use the Enable Kernel Extensions method, Disable SIP and turn off Gatekeeper on Mac. So if you encounter a “damaged” problem or something, the file is not wrong! Your MacOS may simply not be unlocked for external apps.
