As you know, Adobe performance on Apple Silicon is sky rocketed since it’s release. H.265 encoding clocks nearly 2x faster than last year’s Adobe Premiere Pro 2025 (MacOS). A 10-minute 4K render dropped from 8 minutes to 4.5 on my M3 Max. That was fast!
The AI Object Masking is the standout. One click auto-detects and tracks objects across an entire clip. Manually masking a face in 4K used to take 20 minutes. Now it’s done in two, ridiculously efficient.
There’s also Generative Extend for AI-padded frames and smoother transitions. Heads up though, this one needs an active Creative Cloud subscription. This won’t cover any generative cloud features.
Running Intel Mac? Don’t bother. 😅 Premiere Pro 2026 needs Apple Silicon, M1 minimum. Rosetta won’t help and you’ll just burn 5.4GB of bandwidth. Not sold on Premiere? Try Apple Final Cut Pro (MacOS) for Mac editing. Or grab TunesKit AceMovi (MacOS) for lighter, quicker edits.

How to Install Adobe Premiere Pro 2026 on Mac
- Download APPR2602_mac-yasir252.zip from the link below (5.4GB).
- Extract the zip file using Mac’s built-in extractor.
- Make sure you’ve disabled SIP and Gatekeeper on your Mac.
(Sometimes you also need to allow kernel extensions, Google it if needed.) - Open the DMG file and follow the installation instructions inside.
- If a popup appears, go to System Settings > Security & Privacy, click Open Anyway.
- Block Premiere Pro from the Internet using LuLu Firewall or Little Snitch.
