The biggest change is just the Adaptive Noise Reduction. The algorithm is smarter at profiling noise floors. Tested outdoor recordings with lots of wind, DeNoise cleans it up without breaking the vocals.
Spectral Frequency Display is also more responsive on M-series. Real-time micro zoom without lag, great for audio restoration that needs high precision. Though honestly not that significant in my opinion.
This is crucial: Audition 2026 is ARM64 only. Tried it on my Intel MacBook Pro 2019, wouldn’t even launch. On M2 it installs smoothly with low latency. So make sure your Mac is M-series.

How to Install Adobe Audition 2026 on Mac
- Download AAUD260_mac-yasir252.zip from the link below (674MB).
- Extract the zip file using Mac’s built-in extractor or Keka.
- Make sure you’ve disabled SIP and Gatekeeper on your Mac.
(Sometimes you also need to allow kernel extensions, Google it if unsure.) - Open the DMG file and follow the installation instructions inside.
- If a security popup appears, go to System Settings > Security & Privacy.
- Click Open Anyway to allow the installer to run.
- Block Audition from the Internet using LuLu Firewall or Little Snitch.
