Released by poncle, Vampire Survivors is genuinely addictive. Its visuals are retro 8-bit, but the gameplay is incredibly satisfying. You only move while auto-attacks fire everywhere. Pretty wild, right?
Steam alone gave it Overwhelmingly Positive from hundreds of thousands of reviews.
Personally, this feels perfect for casual gaming. No high skill or quick reflexes needed, yet it stays challenging. The combo system is great too, every run lets you build something different.
Honestly, a few bosses can get frustrating, but the game is still a lot of fun overall. If you like casual roguelites, try Ascend to ZERO, time management but more hardcore. Or for tabletop-style management, Tabletop Tavern is worth trying.
