The premise is simple, you are stranded on a barren rock and have to “tinker” with the ecosystem from scratch until it becomes a liveable exoplanet. I spent like 40 hours in the first week, no joke. Plot-wise, it feels way different compared to your typical mainstream survival games. Here, the primary enemy is actually the harsh environment. You are solo, but the progress feels so tangible when the sky finally starts turning from red to blue.
I tried comparing this game to Subnautica Below Zero or No Man’s Sky, and honestly, The Planet Crafter holds its own ground. It is more relaxed but still feels progressive. You don’t have to worry about your base getting wrecked or losing everything. It is the perfect game for chilling.
To be fair, the graphics are a bit “potato” lol. Don’t expect some high-end AAA visuals here.
