Released July 14, 2022, this game immediately became a favorite for many gamers who love farming sims. No Metacritic, but on Steam the review is Very Positive. But not everyone likes it, some say it’s too grindy.
In my opinion, this is “Animal Crossing meets Stardew Valley in Australia.” If you want something more chill and relaxing, I also recommend Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life.
What makes Dinkum different from other farming sims? The unique Australian setting, with kangaroos, koalas, and other Australian animals. The friendship system lets NPCs settle in your town.
Of course, there’s also online co-op to play with friends.
But unfortunately, this game’s updates are slow. But for an indie game, the content is already quite a lot. If you want to try another more established farming sim, check out the legendary Stardew Valley. Or Coral Island which is more modern.
