What makes Dark Souls most memorable, in my opinion, is the interconnected world design. Every area connects to each other. Many hidden shortcuts, and secrets everywhere. But the difficulty is what makes this game iconic. One small mistake = death. Really hard.
But that’s what makes it addictive. Metacritic also says “challenging but rewarding.”
True, some say this game is too hard for casual gamers. But Dark Souls isn’t a game for everyone. For those who can appreciate the difficulty, this is a true masterpiece.
