- Intel Core i5 or Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3/M4).
- 16GB RAM recommended.
- 2GB VRAM minimum.
- Resolution 1280×800 or 1920×1080.
Steps to Install Topaz Photo on MacOS :
- Download the TPZP170mac.rar file (1.86 GB) via the link below.
- Extract the archive, choose the DMG: ARM Apple Silicon (.arm64) or Intel (.x86_64).
- Mount the DMG, then run the .pkg installer and follow the instructions.
- After installation, run Patch.command. Enter your Mac password.
- If “Operation not permitted” appears, go to System Settings > Privacy & Security.
- Add Terminal to Full Disk Access and App Management, then run again.
- Open Topaz Photo from Applications. Done!
VERY IMPORTANT: You must learn how to install apps from outside the App Store. That is using the Enable Kernel Extensions method, how to disable SIP and turn off Mac Gatekeeper. So if there is a problem, “Apple Can’t Check ….” or “Error damaged” it is not the file that is wrong! MacOS is just not unlocked yet.
