DeskCalc Pro – Tape Calculator

Developed by DeskCalc GbR, this software has been around since early 2001. It was originally made to replace physical calculating machines. But it’s very different from an ordinary calculator.
In terms of capabilities, Microsoft Office – Excel and Google Sheets clearly win.
In Excel, we have to think about column structure and cell formats like currency or numbers, click the destination cell, type a formula like =SUM(), or press Enter or Tab to move to the next row. But using DeskCalc, I can keep typing on the numpad, just like using a physical cash register. It automatically creates a tape that extends downward, without needing to set up a layout or formulas at all.
