This update brings several crucial fixes to macOS. The super annoying numeric input bug from the initial version has been completely resolved. Plus, the PDF export resolution feels noticeably sharper.
What I like even more… now there’s a direct connection to Autodesk Forma. This is actually just for preliminary analysis. Not really important for everyone, but it is certainly nice to have.
Compared to conventional CAD software like AutoCAD 2027 (MacOS), I think… ArchiCAD is a massive leap forward in efficiency. Price-wise? It is more affordable. The interface is cleaner. The workflow? Still really great. For rendering visualization, you can use SketchUp.

Steps to Install Archicad 29 on MacOS :
- Download the ARCH2921a.zip (Apple Silicon) or ARCH2921i.zip (Intel) file via the links below.
- Extract the zip file to your Mac desktop.
- Open the Archicad-29.0.0-INT.dmg file and run the installation process.
- Go to System Settings > Privacy & Security > Full Disk Access, then add Archicad 29.
- Open the Archicad-29.2.1-Hotfix-INT-5101.dmg file and install the hotfix update.
- Run Archicad v29.2.1 Patch.pkg until completion.
- Use Little Snitch or LuLu to block online access.

VERY IMPORTANT: You must learn how to install apps from outside the App Store. Specifically using the Enable Kernel Extensions, Disable SIP and turn off Gatekeeper on Mac. So if you encounter issues like “damaged” or similar, it is not an error with the file! Fix your macOS permissions first.
