I agree that it blends three very different genres into one fun gameplay loop.
The mechanics have two sides. During the day, set selling prices, restock the shelves, and deal with customers who complain about high prices. At night, explore roguelite dungeons, fight monsters, and hunt for loot drops. That cycle makes it easy to lose hours playing.
It has some similarities to Dave the Diver: search for goods at night, then sell them during the day.
Honestly, the roguelite side feels pretty repetitive to me. But the shop-management system mixed with dungeon action makes up for it, so overall, Moonlighter is quite solid.
