Ever been annoyed because important folders on your PC were opened by others? Or task files suddenly disappeared for no reason? Folder Guard v26.7 (PRO) from WinAbility Software is the answer. I have been using this software since forever. And so far… nothing better has come along.

It can protect folders with passwords. Hide folders from other users. Control access to USB drives or CD-ROM. You can also make folders read-only so they cannot be modified or deleted. Or enable stealth mode so Folder Guard itself does not appear in the system.

Besides folders, you can restrict access to all file types based on extension. For example, block .jpg or .exe from USB drives so nobody can copy data out or install external programs.

One thing to remember, Folder Guard is not an encryption tool. It does not encrypt files, only restricts access in a more flexible way. Different from Wise Folder Hider which does encrypt data. Steps to Install Folder Guard Professional :

1. Download the FG267i-yasir252.rar file (11 MB) from the link below.
2. Extract the file using WinRAR.
3. Run Block in Firewall.cmd from the 0. Block Host folder (Run as Administrator).
4. Run Setup.exe from the 1. Setup folder, install until complete.
5. Do not open the application yet after installation.
6. Open the 2. Patch Keygen folder, run Patch_64bit.exe
   (or Patch_32bit.exe for Windows 32-bit).
7. Click Patch to apply the patch to the installation folder.
8. Run keygen.exe, select the Folder Guard product, click Generate.
9. Use the generated serial to register.
10. Done! 😍
