Dragonframe (5.2.7)
The 12-minute scene in “Coraline” came from thousands of photos taken one by one, turning into a stop-motion work. What did they use to make it? Dragonframe Full (v5.2.7), a stop-motion application for capturing images directly from a DSLR camera connected to a computer. Its main job is locking every frame on the timeline so the puppet’s movement can be played back. I’m sharing the app’s download link below. 🔥
Animators used to draw an X-sheet on paper and then guess the timing. Now you can set it up in the same panel as the frames. On top of that, the program supports DMX lighting and motion control. The lights can be programmed to follow movement through keyframes, and the camera’s position can be recorded.
If what you’re working on isn’t stop motion but 2D animation with rigged characters, you might want to try Reallusion Cartoon Animator instead. It’s an animation platform, but fully digital.
It’s pretty similar to Adobe Character Animator, where movement can be motion-captured from a webcam along with your own facial expressions.

Steps to Install Dragonframe on Your PC :
- Download the DRAG527i.rar (94.3 MB) file through the link below.
- Extract it with WinRAR or 7-Zip.

- Open folder 2, then run Activation.exe as Administrator.
- Enter the password from Password.txt if prompted.
- Use License Generator to create an Activation Code from the Machine ID.
