CST Studio Suite 2024 (SP1)
Designing an antenna or PCB, but the measurements keep coming out wrong? Usually, the design is not the problem. The problem is the electromagnetic field, which was never simulated. CST Studio Suite 2024 SP1 solves it. It simulates, analyzes, and optimizes 3D electromagnetic (EM) components and systems, from static to optical frequencies. At first, I thought simulations like this were only for large companies. It turns out there is a commercial application for this workflow. Once you understand CST, you won’t go back to the old way.
You can adjust each calculation method (solver) to fit your needs. Time domain is for broadband applications, while frequency domain is for narrowband applications and resonance.
Basically, we do not need another application just to switch approaches.
I also use this software alongside a PCB layout creator such as Altium Designer, and it turns out to be a good combination. For structural and engineering analysis, I usually use BETA CAE Systems. In my opinion, it has the most complete CAE suite compared with the others.

Steps to Install CST Studio Suite on Your PC :
- Download the CSST2024.rar file (6.1 GB) using the link below.
- Extract it using WinRAR or 7-Zip.
- Run Setup.exe, then uncheck Configure licensing.
- Open CST Update Manager, click Import -> browse to the .sup file in the 2. Update SP1 folder.
- Copy the CST Studio Suite 2024 folder from folder 3.
- Paste it into C:\Program Files (x86), then click Replace All.
- Run CST License Manager.
- Select new license file, browse to license.dat, then click Start Service.
- Create the Environment Variable CSTD_LICENSE_FILE=27000@localhost.
- Add the CST folder to Windows Defender exceptions.
- Run the program. Success! 😁
