In the software’s workspace, you can simply choose any object, then place it wherever you want. The land size can be adjusted too, and objects are flexible and can be moved around.
The output? It looks pretty good, in my opinion.
The program’s collection is also extensive. Flowers, trees, floors, fences, furniture, and decorative elements are all there. You can also create your own custom library and make favorite objects available as shortcuts.
Even though Garden Planner is good overall, it is really only for designing gardens. For a house-and-garden plan, BeLight Live Home 3D is a better choice.
Meanwhile, NCH DreamPlan Plus is also more suitable for creating blueprints and designing a home’s interior and exterior. Garden Planner is genuinely lightweight when your focus is only garden layouts.

Steps to Install Garden Planner on Windows and Mac :
- Download GP3912win.rar for Windows or GP3886mac.zip for macOS.
- Extract the Windows archive using the latest WinRAR or 7-Zip.
- Open the extracted folder, then run Setup.exe.
- Open Readme.txt to find the activation serial number.
- Enter the serial number in the application.
- Done, Garden Planner is ready to use!
macOS Note: Open the DMG file, then follow the installation guide inside.
